Although it is funny and laugh out loud there is also a theme running through it which is a fabulously important one One technique she uses is to have her 18 year old self involved in the dialogue.
Initially I found this not terribly convincing but very swiftly it became a really clever twist and it served to elucidate and open out some of what she, as the statuesque 38 year old her words not mine , wished to share.
